Most smart phones these days have great video cameras built-in and take fantastic movies. One problem though is keeping your phone steady while you are shooting video. If your camera moves around too much it will make your video hard to watch. Also, if you want to shoot video of yourself it allows you to do it by yourself without someone holding the camera. So you try to prop your phone up against something or use some makeshift holder that could allow your phone to fall or cause damage to it.
iStabilizer has come up with a great little gadget that solves the problem of mounting your smartphone to a tripod.
The iStabilizer tripod mount is a simple device that you clip your phone into and it has a threaded mount that you can screw onto your tripod. The iStabilizer holds your phone secure and lets you aim your camera in any direction.
The other nice thing about this mount is it opens up wide to accept many different phones even if they have a case on them. The iStabilizer works with iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows phones. In my case I have a iPhone 4 with a Otterbox case and it fits great.
The iStabilizer is a great accessory to have to mount your Smartphone to a tripod. It’s well made and holds your video camera phone secure at any angle. I am very happy with it.
